The E.C.B fixture rota has been kind to Headingley in 2008 and after a npower Test Match in mid July the Proteas re-appear for a historic NatWest One Day international on Friday 22nd August a day/night encounter – THE SECOND EVER INTERNATIONAL CRICKET MATCH TO BE PLAYED AT HEADINGLEY CARNEGIE UNDER FLOODLIGHTS.

The South Africans are brimful of talent led by the controversial hard man of cricket Graeme Smith. Take batsmen of the calibre of Herschelle Gibbs, A.B de Villiers and Boeta Dippenaar, world class all rounders Jacques Kallis and Shaun Pollock, experienced wicket keeper Mark Boucher and a pace attack of Makhaya Ntini, Andre Nel and Charl Langervelt and you have a team capable of beating anyone on their day. Peter Moores’ young resurgent England will be tested to the full.

Gold Crown Package   Our Gold Crown facilities are located in Headingley’s newest viewing suites, the East Stand Boxes, offer the optimum in luxury and privacy.   Each box has a dining table for twelve people, private bar, television, en-suite toilet and balcony with twelve padded seats. We also have a limited number of boxes with a ‘behind the bowler’s arm view’. For these boxes guests will dine in the exclusive Box Holders Dining Room for lunch and tea.

Three Lions Package   The various Three Lions Suites are situated in the famous Headingley Pavilion on three levels offering a "third man" view to the wicket.   All are full viewing suites (with exception of one which is partial viewing) and have their own cushioned seats immediately in front on either balcony or ground level.     Television monitors, private bars and dedicated toilets are features of each suite and stadium car parking is included as standard. Booking of any number are accepted with private tables of 8 guests upwards.
