More about Hampden Park Stadium

As of 1st April 2000, the Scottish Football Association assumed responsibility for the governance of Scotland's National Stadium through its wholly owned subsidiary company, Hampden Park Limited.

Hampden is situated in 33 acres of land with sites adjacent to it ready for redevelopment and committed to sport and leisure in the City Council's Structure Plan. The Club, and more particularly Hampden Park Limited which is responsible for delivering the Project and for its future viability, is working with the City Council to ensure that future land developments acknowledge and, wherever possible, integrate with the needs of the Stadium. The concept of a campus has evolved with the National Stadium at its hub, the centrepiece of the initiative, with facilities for other sports and youth development at hand.

The last ten years have been eventful at Hampden. The next ten could see the greater vision become reality.

The South Stand is on 7 levels, with 6 currently in use as detailed below:

Level 1 and 4
The Stadium has well structured facilities for customers with special needs.

Level 6
The administration offices of the Scottish Football Association, Scottish Football League, and Scottish Premier League.

Level 5
(a) Four hospitality suites (Bain, Baird, Bell and Maxwell), each capable of holding up to 380 depending on table/seating arrangements. On matchdays, these are for the exclusive use of the Silver Debenture Holders and are each used by 450 people;
(b) Two Concourses with improved facilities, which on matchdays are for the exclusive use of our Bronze Debenture Holders.
(c) Two public concourses with kiosk facilities.

Level 4
(a) Three hospitality suites. The Lomond and Nevis Suites can each accommodate up to 600 depending on table/seating arrangements. They can also be partitioned into sections to allow excellent room sizes for smaller, private dinners etc. On matchdays, these areas are linked with VIP seating for guests, including the Gold Debenture Holders, to view the game.
(b) The Millennium Suite provides an excellent view of the ground and the VIP seating gives the best view in the Stadium. This suite can host up to 250 depending on table/seating arrangements.
(c) 26 Executive Boxes (13 east of the centre line and 13 west of the centre line). These Boxes can seat 10 for dinner and have their own private seats for viewing. The Boxes are also the ideal setting for use as breakout rooms or boardrooms.
(d) The Police Control Room with state-of-the-art computer and CCTV equipment to monitor both inside and outside the ground.
(e) Two Television Studios for companies to present their programmes from the Stadium.

Level 3
(a) The impressive Main Reception is where all visitors are greeted and guided to the appropriate areas.
(b) Media Centre, with state-of the art facilities for use by the Media on matchdays. This room can also be used for private functions and can house up to 250 depending on table/seating arrangements.
(c) Level 3 also houses the administration offices of Hampden Park Limited

Level 2
(a) The Scottish Football Museum. A visit to the Museum is an experience you will not want to miss. Within the Museum you will see many artefacts reflecting the heritage of Scottish football. Items such as the Scottish Cup Trophy, the oldest football ticket in the world, and Kenny Dalglish's 100th cap are just a few of the items on display. In addition to a visit to the Museum is an optional tour of the Stadium, where you will be able to visit the Dressing Rooms, Indoor Warm Up Area and run out of the tunnel to the trackside. There is also a Caf� where you can enjoy a snack before or after your visit, and a Museum Shop stocked with interesting items of memorabilia.
(b) The 250-seat Lecture Theatre is now complete. This room spans two levels and is the perfect location for lectures, product presentations, etc.
(c) Cumbrae and Arran Suites, can host up to 450 depending on table/seating arrangements. On matchdays these suites are linked to VIP seating at pitch level.

Level 1
(a) Players' Dressing Rooms, each with 22 lockers, private physiotherapy room and baths and showers. Next door is a changing room for the team officials with a further 12 lockers, physiotherapy room and showers. All the dressing rooms are fitted out to the highest standard.
(b) In addition to the Home and Away Dressing Rooms there are a further two dressing rooms for use by mascots, entertainers, etc.
(c) There are two Ballpersons Rooms, which give the boys and girls a chance to experience the Stadium's excellent facilities.
(d) Two Referee's rooms with their own facilities. The second room is available if there is a female official or when there is a need for additional officials.
(e) Warm-Up area, which is ideal for use as an indoor training facility when the weather is inclement.
(f) Two specially fitted catering Serveries for special needs spectators.
(g) Secure underground roadway and dedicated Players' Entrances, ensuring the safety and privacy of visiting teams and dignitaries.
(h) From Level 1 the Lecture Theatre can be accessed if display equipment is required for a particular presentation.
(i) The Sports Medicine Centre is now open and is available to members of the public for the treatment of injuries. It is linked to Glasgow's three Universities and is involved in research work to the benefit of all in sport.
(j) Doping Control rooms, Offices, TV Interview Areas, and a Match Control meeting room complete this five-star level.
